The body and mind are connected - trauma that resides in one place in our body often shows up in the other parts of our bodies and our lives. We often unknowingly hold tension in the body from past life challenges or trauma; over time this can have a detrimental effect on our physical and emotional wellbeing. These holding patterns can be addressed through various yoga/embodied techniques and practices. By working with the body, mind, and spirit together we can access a deeper level of healing and become free of what is holding us back.

Yoga therapy is a healing partnership; together we will work with the body, breath, mind, and spirit to support you in finding peace, health, and a sense of wholeness. Yoga therapy uses the full spectrum of the eight Limbs of yoga in a therapeutic setting to address a wide array of challenges or concerns a person may be facing - physical, emotional, mental, & spiritual. It is an embodied approach to healing and wellness.

Yoga therapy can be used to address a variety of conditions such as autism spectrum disorders and traumatic brain injury, as well as to physical challenges including injury recovery, and strength and flexibility. My areas of focus include anxiety and depression, chronic pain, trauma holding patterns in the body, healing from childhood sexual abuse, life transitions, and major (or minor) traumatic events. 

I integrate a form of yoga therapy known as Integrated Movement Therapy® (IMT), developed at the Samarya Center. Integrated Movement Therapy® uses yoga’s philosophical, physical and spiritual framework in conjunction with conventional therapy tools.

The Integrated Movement Therapy® approach is based on three overarching philosophies: 
1.    The student is already perfect and whole;
2.    The student and teacher are both unlimited in their abilities to heal; and
3.    No part of the body/mind/spirit complex, and no part of the brain, works alone.

Our sessions (generally 75-90 minutes) will incorporate a variety of approaches, including, but not limited to, yoga asana (poses), pranayama (breathwork), meditation, Reiki, hands-on work, cognitive reframing, as well as a range of yoga-based philosophical and spiritual practices.

Intake session (90 minutes) - $125
75-minute session - $105
90-minute session - $115

Packages*:

Cancellation policy: There is no charge if appointments are cancelled more than 24 hours in advance. Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be charged the full fee. If I cancel within less than 24 hours of our scheduled appointment your next session is FREE.
