Yoga is at its heart a spiritual practice and the truth is many people get to the spiritual aspects of yoga through the physical body. Working with the body through yoga asana (poses) is a fantastic way to begin a yoga practice and find an embodied approach to healing. Many people also use physical pain or other sensations in the body to more deeply explore other aspects of yoga, beyond asana (movement/poses). In addition to group classes I offer private & small group yoga sessions. In these sessions we focus specifically on what you want to work on with regards to learning yoga and how to practice yoga with your body as an ally, exactly as it is. 

My work with yoga students and individual clients is centered around the belief that we are all perfect and whole and our journey in this lifetime is often about rediscovering that essential truth about ourselves. I bring an emphasis of self-love, self-compassion, and gratitude to each session and each student. My classes and my one-on-one sessions are infused with lightness, kindness, humor, and lovingkindness.

  • Thursday mornings 9:00 - 10:30 AM, Level I/II at Two Dog Yoga

  • Thursday mornings 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM, Yoga for Pain Relief (gentle plus meditation and breathwork) at Two Dog Yoga

Private yoga sessions:

I also offer private yoga sessions either one on one or in small groups up to five people. In private yoga sessions we work directly on issues affecting your body and your yoga practice. Private yoga sessions are a great way to focus just on you and provide direct support to what your body needs. This may include working on alignment in yoga poses, strength building, enhancing flexibility, injury recovery, modifications for your body in various yoga poses, or working with different pranayama (breath) techniques.    

Private yoga sessions rates:
I am available for private yoga sessions either in my home studio in the Georgetown neighborhood, at your home (travel fees apply; waived within Georgetown). 

Private yoga sessions are $70/hour. 
Group sessions have a sliding scale of $75 - $65 per hour, plus $10 for each additional person up to five people.

Cancellation policy: There will be no charge if appointments are cancelled more than 24 hours in advance. Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be charged the full fee. If I have to cancel your appointment within 24 hours of the scheduled time your next session is free!
