Do you feel you’re often not fully conscious of your breathing? Are you interested in learning how breathwork can help address stress, anxiety, depression and more? In the yoga tradition, the breath is said to carry a person's life force. However, without conscious focus on the breath it becomes simply an involuntary bodily function. (It’s a good thing we can breath involuntarily - it makes it easier to sleep!) When that happens, we can lose the connection to the potential and powerful energy that the breath can support and the positive impact that can have on our lives.

Breaking down the definition of Pranayama, a sanskrit word, we get:

  • prana - life force, or breath effort sustaining the body

  • ayama - to extend or draw out

Together this translates to breath extension or breath control.

In our sessions together we will work together to understand and clarify your goals, explore different Pranayama practices, and put into a practice techniques to help address your unique situation.

Pranayama sessions can be done in person or via Skype; $70/session
